JOHNES DISEASE (PARA TUBURCULOSIS)

A member of the Checks approved SAC Premium Cattle Health Scheme

The herd has Full Accreditation for Johnes disease.

Rawburn is one of the largest herds of Aberdeen Angus in the UK with full accreditation for Johnes disease.

The herd has never had a failure for Johnes disease (Para tuberculosis) since it began testing in 2003. Over 200 cows are tested in the herd annually.

BVD

A member of the Checks approved SAC Premium Cattle Health Scheme

The herd is Accredited free of BVD since 2001

SALE HEIFERS

No vaccinations are given to sale heifers, allowing them meet all testing requirements for Export.

VACCINATIONS IN THE BREEDING HERD

The breeding herd are vaccinated annually with the following:

BVD: Bovella
Leptospirosis: Spirovac
IBR: Rispoval Inactivated Marker Vaccine

BULLS

Bulls are vaccinated against BVD and Leptospirosis prior to being sold.
